5 Ways To Season Pumpkin Seeds

Nothing says Fall like pumpkins.  After carving and decorating for the season, what do you do with the seeds?  Here’s how to roast and season pumpkin seeds.  Enjoy these 5 flavors.

To Roast:

  1.  Be sure to thoroughly clean the seeds.  Wash them well and remove all the fibers. Once you think they’re good and clean, clean them once more.
  2. Gently boil the seeds for 10 minutes.  This step is optional, but is sure to add that crunch!
  3. Season the seeds to your liking.
  4. Bake the seeds at 350°, turning every 10 minutes to prevent burning. They should be done baking after 40 minutes, once the seeds are firmer and no longer soft.

5 Ways To Season:

Basic – 2 Tbsp melted butter, 1/2 tsp salt, & 1/2 tsp pepper

Sweet – 2 Tbsp melted butter, 1 Tbsp brown sugar, & 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Spicy – 2 Tbsp olive oil, 1/2 tsp cajun seasoning

Italian – 2 Tbsp melted butter, 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning, 1/4 cup parmesan

Sweet & Spicy – 2 Tbsp melted butter, 1 Tbsp brown sugar, 1/2 tsp cajun seasoning
