Kyle and I married a little over a year ago. Being a lover of DIY, I created most of the wedding decorations. My favorite piece was the vintage door seating chart.
I love all things vintage, so naturally that was my wedding theme. I wanted to do something a little different for the seating chart and came up with a gorgeous idea.
My mom had an old door in storage. The color was a soft cream and the paint was chipping, it was perfect.
I decided to hang skeleton keys with each guest’s name and table. The skeleton keys I found were fantastic, because they doubled as our wedding favor. They were bottle openers.
I found them on Etsy here… https://www.etsy.com/shop/EllaCelebration
I typed up each guest’s name and table and printed them on clear avery labels. I then attached the labels to tags that I purchased on Etsy here… https://www.etsy.com/shop/CoffeeStainedTags
I strategically hammered nails into the door and and hung the keys.
I hand painted “The key to your seat” the to the top of the door.
This was an elegant focal point and brought my wedding theme to life.
